Youtube Music Videos Heartless
youtube music videos, 3rd party agreement?
Hi, me and my friend have a youtube account and we make music videos(http://www.youtube.com/user/LizLaura96chicks), and we made about 3 more music videos, but(she’s tried to put 2 of them on so far) it won’t let her put 2 of them on, I’m not quite sure what it said, it was something about you have to get written permission to use that song, either that or something about a 3rd party agreement, can anyone tell me how we can get permission to use those songs?(the songs we used are: Live Your Life, Don’t Cry Out(bu shiny toy guns) and Heartless)
Unless you’re prepared to pay big bucks to the corporations and
copyright owners for “licensing fees”, “distribution rights”, and/or
their “expressed written permission”, I would not consider trying.
Don’t forget that later, you’d also have to pay “royalties” for every
single time that somebody clicks on one of your videos that has
“their music”. The only possible exceptions to all this is if you’re
an “official representative” of the artist’s record label or a bonded
commercial agent of the artist who’s music you want to use; but
if that were really the case, you probably wouldn’t be asking this
question on Yahoo.
