How Can I Get A Girlfriend?

I’m a 17 year old guy. I’m very lonely and sometimes depressed (the only thing that keeps me from being depressed all the time is the band I’m in). I’ve had two girlfriends (sort of, it was a one date each thing, and i never really saw much of either of them) in my life (7th grade and 9th grade, for about 2 months each) but nothing has ever gotten the least bit serious. I’ve never even hugged or kissed a girl. I’m pretty bad at talking to girls (awkward small talk). I need help badly. I fear I’ll never get another girlfriend. I know how you feel dude. But trust me, I know this sounds hard but the first step is to get rid of your shyness. To do that, you have to not care. Don’t care what the girl thinks of you. Trust me, as a girl I would know, I would rather have a guy talk about stupid crap I don’t care about, rather than being in akward silence. If that made any sense lol.

I’m very bad at talking to guys but you just have to blurt out whats on your mind. For instance say you sit next to a girl you like. Do something randomly that will make her notice you. It doesn’t have to be big. Example: Say you dropped something. Instead of quietly picking it up, say Dammit! If she drops something pick it up for her. Make fun of your teacher. Anything that will make her notice you. Then once you guys have talked, the next day come to class and give her a little smile. Or come to class a little late and rush in and just say hello. She should say hey back.

You also need confidence. If your confident with yourself, girls will notice and appreciate it. I know thats a really girly thing to say and it sounds really stupid but it’s true. But don’t be over confident or concieted.

Also, your not ugly. But maybe you could give yourself a little more personality. Your in a band and girls like that. I assume the band is rock or something along those lines. So dress a little more rocker. Give your self a little fo-hawk or something.
