I don’t get it, why do they appear in music videos when they’re not singing or rapping
Because the music industry is a shithole these days.
They pay someone famous and liked to be in the video so more people watch it and buy the track.
It’s 100% about money these days.
Be seen with the right celebrities and it makes profit.
It’s all mass produced crap. That’s why there’s so many rubbish indie bands that all sound the same in Britain, and why Nelly Furtado sold out to hip hop, even though she was crap before but at least she was different.
That nickleback song “rockstar” sums it up brilliantly. Even though it’s a bit of an anthem promoting the great lifestyle, it still refers to the “dictionary of who’s who”, etc.
We know too much about artists. I couldn’t give a shit about their personality, when they turn out to be a twa’t it ruins the music for me. Labels should stop looking for the band with the right personalities because they all turn out to be the same boring old idiots that can’t right a song to save their lives.
