Music Videos Unedited

how can i make my videos look more professional?

i want to be a director very badly. i’ve been asked to make a video for a local band because of my equipment and how good my live concert videos come out, but theyre unedited. but they’re going to pay me according to how good it looks plus it will be the FIRST time someone hired me to make a video for them. i have the canon xh g1s and various lenses. i know i need some lighting and back drops but i need to edit it as well what shoud i use to deliver professional results? i’m only 16 so i haven’t gone to film school to learn about this or anything so i need as much help as possible. thank you!

what i need to know:
- software i need and what it will do to make the music video look more professional
- props?
- anything else you think i should know

thank you in advance 10 points to best answer.

heres an idea of what i’d like to do, plus some action scenes:

You have to start with a good script.

Break the script into a shooting script and block the shots.

Shoot each scene until you have what you need

Using your original script and the shooting script, compile all the best scenes in to a rough edit.

Let it sit for a while or have others view it and take notes

Make a final cut and add sound, Foley, music and other effects and review it again

Once you are happy with it, burn some DVD’s and send them out to friends you trust to tell you what they “really” think

Making a video is NOT a “one man” process. Just look at the credits at the end of your favorite videos (those are less than 50% of the number of actual people involved in making the video.

Daria: The Complete Animated Series

Daria: The Complete Animated Series

$26.89

Turns out that Clarissa did not explain it all, like what a sick sad world it is, how much student life sucks, and how the notion that it is great to be young is a storybook fantasy. Daria, which aired on MTV between 1997 and 2002, does not paint a rosy picture, but this so-called outcast for whom suburban life “is one smart-ass joke” gave sardonic voice to the disaffected. “I’m not miserable,” Da…
