Music Videos Tejano
Would Non-English Language music be a hit in the US if it was translated and sung in English?
I am thinking about hits that have been in other languages around the world, as well as Tejano and other non-English language styles. Is there a band that does this? Maybe the Italian song by Mario Venuti “A ferro e fuoco” a song who’s video mentions a Don Quixote style of romance.
Shakira did this, as she is a spanish singer who now sings in English, and she was HUGE in the USA for about 6 months. Basshunter has also managed to transfer his Swedish hits to the UK market in English, but has yet to attract the USA listeners.
