Music Videos Store Ratings
Are there any music download sites that offer parental control?
My ten year old got an MP3 player for Christmas. She often doesn’t know the name or artist of the songs she wants to download so she has just been browsing the download sites for music. Are there any sites that offer either parental controls so I can block out content not appropriate for her age, or that rates music (similar to movie/video game ratings) to provide me with an easy way to know what’s not appropriate for her. I would even settle for an “explicit lyrics” warning similar to what they put on CD’s you can buy in a store.
iTunes. There are “explicit” ratings in the store. In iTunes, choose Edit > Preferences and then click Parental. You can have an adminastrator password to download select songs with your approval or just have explicit items blocked.
