i dont think most bands use them to their full potential. its another artform to integrate into the music to give a stronger impact and message. same with album covers.

I also enjoy music videos and wish more bands/artists would realize the potential behind creating an amazing visual to go with their songs. Instead of talentless hacks blowing their label’s money or genius minds sticking to performance videos, I wish more musicians would actually put a story behind their lyrics. “Heart Shaped Box” is my favorite music video of all time. I’ll watch it ten years from now and still not quite understand it, which is what makes it amazing. My other favorites are:
