Why do black women prefer dark skinned men?
I’m a medium toned black man.Not light, not dark.On the human skin spectrum i’m dark, but by my community’s standard i’m middle toned.I’m about Will Smith’s complexion. So i’m curious, why do black women prefer dark men?I always notice that the only women black women talk about are sexy are dark skinned men.On all of the music videos the men are also dark skinned. So why is it?Can black women only explain?Other answers are appreciated, but i don’t want explanation’s from non black women.I’m confused because black women complain about black men preferring light skinned women (I don’t.I like dark women.Like India Arie,Kelly Rowland,Gabrielle Union etc….) but they discriminate against men who aren’t dark skinned. Thanks in advance.
No that is not true. At least not for me. Light skin, brown skin, tan skin, dark skin and every shade in between that is still BLACK is ok with me. As long as he is handsome, and nice I have no problem. Seriously Black people don’t even need to date interracially we come in all colors. Don’t be insecure you will find a nice girl that will appreciate you for who you are not for the shallow reason like skin color.
