ethiopian actor on television?

why don’t we ever see an ethiopian on tv. im ethiopian. we see whites, blacks, indians, asians, koreans, mixed people, etc. we see pretty much all ethnicities on tv, but why can’t we see an ethiopian(Habesha)actor. thhe closest the ethiopia community got to an ethoipan star is the eriAm Sisters, but their singers and even though i support them their not even well known enough to have their own wikipedia information page. and angel lola luv but she’s basically just dancing in music videos. ther seem to be no REAL TRUE ETHIOPIAN FAMOUS CELEBS. i mean the least i could ask for would be a guy or girl delivering pizza. who thinks we meed an ethiopian celeb ACTOR.
when i said delievering pizza, i meant on a show.

It’s not something the Ethiopian community encourages all that much. I am Somali, and there are little to no Somali tv actors I have heard of. If there are any, they stick with Somali shows. Anyways, Ethiopians have higher dreams than that. Parents want their kids to get good paying careers that will be long lasting.

Also, roles for TV/movie go with what is demanded. Mostly African-American and American(white) people get roles because characters are set up as White or African America. Ethiopians look distinctly Ethiopian and sometimes do not fit a certain character. I’m sure there are many roles that would be suited for a Habesha person, but maybe there hasn’t been many Ethiopian actors to really make a mark in the acting world.
