why won’t my laptop play sound for anything? i don’t have it on mute and it was working fine before?
the other day i muted the sound on my laptop whilst i did some recording so i didn’t get the msn sound for someone coming online, someone talking to me etc. for a couple of mins as this would be easier than signing out of msn and then back in again.
now i’ve taken it off mute and the volume still won’t play. i’ve tried going on youtube videos from my favourites which i know have sound, playing songs saved in my music folder and playing videos in my videos folder, as well as launching programmes such as skype which make a noise when you do so or when you sign in, but they are all silent.
i’ve even tried putting it on full blast, but there is no sound.
is there anything in the control pannel i might have accidently activated or something?
the sound card option made internet close and re-open so that it was constantly flashing and could only be stopped by restarting and then it did it again
