Missing Music Videos Evanescence
Sneak out or ask my mom?
Ok, so me and my sister are in this dilemma. Evanescence, our favorite band in the whole wide world, is premering thier new music video at Times Square on Monday, on TRL on MTV. So my sister decided to try and get two tickets, we didn’t think we would get them since that chances are so slim. But we did! So we were totally excited. But the thing is, we have to be in Times Square at 1:00, and it’s on a school day, and we live in South Jersey, an hour ride or so. My friend who can drive is willing to take me, but the only thing is my parents. I can trust my friend to drive me and my sister, but how can I get my parents to trust her, and to let me skip a day at school? I’m an okay student, and I’m sure that I can catch up on work that I missed. So I guess I’m asking a few questions, how can I get my parents to say yes, and if they don’t how can I sneak away? I’m not letting this chance slip by.

First of all, don’t sneak out. If something serious were to happen, that would be awful.
Be honest and explain what it means to you and your sister and that you are willing to make arrangments for the school work. Most parents are not ogres when it comes to the kids they love really wanting something. (especially if they really don’t ask for special privelages all that often)
If mom doesn’t want to let you go with your friend, then see if there is another option. You are asking alot to expect her to trust your friend to drive you to an event where traffic will be awful and so will crowds.
