Should I Get A Roku Or Apple Tv?
I want to get either a apple tv or a roku xds which one is better i want to get apple tv b-cuz its hd and can stream content from your pc and you can use ipod touch to use as a keyboard for youtube on the other hand i want to get roku because its has hd 2 and it has a usb port and av composition connecting which one should i get and question can roku stream music from computer or can it play it from a flash drive and what type of files does roku software support for video and music if there is. Yes. This is for a christmas present.
Apple is good yet Roku XDS is better …..why???
Well Apple is a closed setup meaning you can only play Apple stuff and Apple movies you make and that kind of stuff. Yet you cant play any third party videos even from YouTube downloads.
Roku XDS does not play them now I mean right now they is a Firmware Update that will be posted the winter that will allow the XDS and only the XDS to play movies from third parties. My name is Mac I love Macs I even use Macs all day long and yet I like other players besides Apple TV……sorry not a slam its just Apple TV doesnt allow for any other types of videos to be played.
Thats why I want a player that will allow me to connect my Thumb Drive or Hard Drive and play vids or movies or VOB files etc…..
