How does illegally uploading music and movies benefit the uploader?
It’s a very well-known that people upload music, movies, tv shows, games, books, software, etc… illegally, commonly as torrents to be downloaded by others. How does the uploader benefit from free-willingly uploading the media file to a torrent site and have people download it free of charge. I mean there are no ads inserted in the song or the movie, so how does the uploader benefit form doing such an illegal action?
My question is also targeted to other illegal means such as file-sharing. When sharing a file how does that also benefit the sharer?
Also, I mean why would anyone pay for a music album, for example, to then just post it on the internet for free? Why should he/she pay for it and donate it to other who aren’t willing to?
^ you guys are missing his/her question, the question is why do people allow their content to be placed on torrent sites for upload where people may illegally download them for free.
There are a few reasons. Some people actually are paid, Some people actually do it to steal information by attaching viruses and what not to the content they upload, and some do it simply to help out others that arent willing to pay for music/videos.
