Free Music Sxsw
Is the SXSW music festival free?
I want to go to SXSW in Austin, TX this year…I thought I had heard it was free, but when I looked at the website it said something about registering. I browsed around some more but just got more confused. Can I just show up to the bands that I want to see, or is there a step I need to take first?
some stuff is free and some not. all the cool night shows are not free, you have to have a wristband to try to get in, having a wristband does not guarantee entrance into the show, you have to get in line ahead of time depending how popular the band is and if the venue gets full you wont get in. now some stuff during the day is free, they are usually smaller unknown bands that want you to listen to them so they will have free stuff like stickers and demos and sometimes food and beer. I believe there is a website that list all the free stuff going on around town but I don’t remember it, I haven’t lived in Austin in years, email me if you have more questions
