Is it legal to send music files for free?
I want to make a Youtube account and tell people that I can make a song, sound, etc. of their choice and I can send them the MP3, WAV, OGG, etc. any type of format.
Basically, I will find the song on Youtube or another site, play the song and record using Audacity (audio editor). Then after it is recorded you can save the file to any format MP3, etc. Next just upload the file to rapid share and send them the link.
I could also make full CD’s, a playlist, or just part of a song.

It is ONLY if:
a.) the song was put onto YouTube by the artist or producer (meaning it was uploaded legally in the first place). This means that the music was put there with the intention of being listened to for free, by someone who is allowed to do that.
and
b.) you don’t distribute the copy of the song that you got.
