Is There a place where I can use a piano for free?
I know places where they sell musical instruments sometimes they let you play a song or two but I don’t even know how to play piano, I want to learn…We just moved to Chicago like two months ago so my Dad doesen’t want to start paying for music lessons yet….Where would I find a piano that I could use for free?…Doesen’t have to be like a particular adress, just like, what kind of places should I be looking for?…THANK YOU…10 POINTS!!
School is usually a good place, as most schools have a piano. Ask to stay behind for 30 minutes after school and use their piano if its not in use (they will usually encourage musical enthusiasm).
You could try friends or neighbours houses, who may have a piano for their child, or as a living room decorative piece.
Another option is to get a cheap second hand keyboard…Its not free, but I wont imagine it being extremely expensive either (Although sound quality may not be as excellent as a piano). Then you can practice on that all you like until things work out!
