Can anyone help me download a program to my mac?
I want to dowload the free music program GNU Solfege to my mac OSX computer. when i had a windows it was easy to download, but i cant figure out how to make it work on my mac. i downloa the file, but it only opens as a text file.
can someone give me a step by step way to dowload it? or is there a program i need to run it which i dont have?
On there web site for Mac instalation it says:
There are three main approaches to installing Solfege on Mac OS X. All require X11 and Xcode (aka Developer Tools).
Did you do those three things? If not it won’t install.
You can also do these things on this page to get it to download correctly. It will work you will just have to go through the steps to get it done.

I am a music teacher and have not heard of this program. Plus it is free. It will be a great addition to my computer lab.
