Transfer music from ipod to my mac for free?
I’m going to get an ipod touch b/c my current ipod keeps freezing (it’s 4 years old) I really don’t want to lose all my music because I have over 2000 songs, and some movies. Are there any free programs that I can use to transfer my music etc to my current Macbook (the computer is new so I don’t have any of the music on there in order to start from scratch.
If there aren’t any free applications you know of I’m open to hear about some non-expensive good ones. Macintosh only please. Thank you!
Here are some tips:
If all your songs were purchased from iTunes store, use “Transfer Purchases” option to transfer. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329
If some of your songs were from other sources, you will need to utilize some iPod to mac transfer program to help you, like this handy one called 4Media iPod to Mac Transfer. http://gutensoft.com/Utilities/4Media-iPod-to-Mac-Transfer.html
It can help easily transfer all music, photos, videos, podcast, and TV shows on your iPod back to Mac completely and safely, and add them to your local iTunes library. Also, you can use it to transfer files from iPod to iTunes or from Mac to iPod in a direct way.
