Where can i download music for free?
i used to use limewire and im not worried about the illegal issues but its impossible to tell which songs are real and which are viruses.
im getting a new desktop and i dont want it to be corrputed by the limewire viruses so can you suggest to me a protection software which alerts me about viruses so i can destroy it

a new search engine where i can search and download as quickly and limewire.

An artist has the legal right to protect his/her work and a record label has the legal right to protect its product hence Copyright. Authorised (legal) users/websites pay fees to either ASCAP or BMI for the use of the track(s) – even radio and TV stations have to pay these fees. A portion of these fees filter down to the artist as royalties.
Singing is the artist’s profession and royalties form a significant part of his/her earnings (salary). An artist has the right to earn money from what he has created and/or performed, and copyright law protects this right.
Websites that comply with all the legal requirements for handling music tracks have to charge for downloads simply to cover their costs (including the copyright fees paid) and to continue in business.
A website offering “free” downloads are paying no copyright fees hence the artist is receiving nothing from that use of his/her work. Therefore anybody obtaining a free download of their favourite artist’s work is effectively stealing from their favourite artist.
Consider the following dialog.
Artist (to record label): Can I have my royalty check now? I need to buy my wife a new dress and pay my kid’s school fees.
Record label (to artist): Sorry there’s no money for you. Everybody’s been downloading your song for free. There’s been no CD’s or legal downloads sold this month.
Artist (to himself): Well WTF am I doing in this business. My so-called fans downloading my tracks for free and I can’t get no money to send my kids to school. Maybe I’ll give up this singing sh** and go work for the city. At least I know I’ll get a pay check every month.
It costs 99 cents to download a track from iTunes. How hard can that be?
