Free Music Chicago Band
I am looking to find a job as a sound or light man for a club or a touring band!?
I have tons of experience, but cant find work. I am free to travel, and very creative at lighting. Thinking about going to Columbia College in Chicago for my degree in Sound Reinforcement as well. I have mixed quite a few live shows, and have run many lighting consoles. I just cant seem to find any bands or companies, where I can apply for jobs. Can someone out there with the knowledge of bands or sound & lighting companies lead me to the right sources? This is the job that I have been doing and will BE doing for the rest of my life, It is my passion! But I just cant get any jobs. Please help me with this. Somebody out there has got to know where a sound & lighting console operator can get desent, and respectfull employment. I have mixed in clubs, casinos, and arenas, and have done lighting in these types of venues. I have a great ear and a great eye for theatrics and color. Knowledgeable in fixed and robotic lighting. I also have a knowledge of todays music and bands, & the classics.
