Art Schools in CA?
I just took a fatty assessment test that basically told me I should choose/pursue an occupation that lets me use my ability to visualize things in 3-D space, which is great, because I’ve wanted to do something with art basically my whole life.
I was thinking about going into some kind of animation field, since it combines both spatial and temporal dimensions (I love music, too… something else I scored high on in that aptitude test). I wouldn’t mind being a free-lance fine artist, but I have a feeling work is probably pretty hard to come by, and I’d like to have a steady income.
So, my question is, which art schools are considered the best in California, and if you think art schools aren’t very good in CA, then where else in the US? Is it better to go to a University/College for a degree in art, or is it more reputable to go to an art school? Are there any schools I should avoid? Thanks a bunch.
Art Schools specialize in Art and art alone, You won’t be able to apply your degree from an art school to much of anything. However, if you do well, you can really be an artist. A 4 year university will allow you to diversity and you will be able apply yourself to more types of work, if art is not working out for you. Art schools are private and cost a lot more than a state/public university.
Take a look at art and regular schools to see what you can afford and what you want to do in your life. Here are some link to art schools.
