Free Music Amp
I’d like to record from my guitar to my PC. Is there any easy to use free software?
I tried a program I got free with a computer music magazine (called strangely enough ‘Computer Music’) which i found really tricky to use, I just couldn’t get the hang of it. I’m not looking for loads of features and stuff, just the basics.
PS i’m just using a lead from the headphone jack on my amp to the line-in on my laptop, i’m not bothered about high quality, I just want to put some ideas down
If you want to go really cheap, you can use windows sound recorder if you have a computer microphone. Just go to “all programs” then to “accessories”. From there it should be under “entertainment” and just click on “sound recorder”. Not good quality, but nice for a quick 60 second recording of some ideas. I used it for the monologue introduction for this movie.
