Why are the youth in other countries so much more cultural?
In U.S. all MOST teens do is text, get drunk, watch MTV or play video games or think they are gangster rapper/rocker.
In other countries, they are committed to family/relatives. They are more into the arts and more educated.
One other thing i noticed is the dancing at weddings. So many traditional dances like greek, arabian , jewish spanish etc… So cultural and traditional!
Whatever happened to the old school dancing and music of America? Why did it all change?
The “cultured” teens you’re talking about are raised to have more care for their relatives, not allowed to watch TV all afternoon and taught the value of families. This happens in the US as well, but I am guessing you’re not in an area where it’s common. But don’t be fooled, foreign kids also get drunk, watch MTV and play video games in their down time.
The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. I’ve been to other countries and their kids are almost exactly the same as our kids in likes and dislikes. The main difference is that in the US, there’s a lot more options. i think if kids in Slovakia had the options US kids do, they’d probably do the exact same stuff.
