Music download sites for classical music eg opera ,oratorio etc?
I assume copyright no longer exists for works written so long ago although there would indeed be performing rights.
What sites exist free or otherwise and what is the usual procedure to download and store.

To find an album, I suggest to follow the album’s name with the word “rapidshare”.
Here, there’s no usual procedure, because each music-site has it’s own way to download music, but the help provided with the search engine will be enough.
