Do music videos also appear in your music library on iTunes?
If I buy a music video on iTunes will I also just be able to listen to the song without having to watch the video? Can I put it on a non video iPod?
When you listen to audio files in iTunes, they are often saved as .mp3 files, which will register on any iPod. Conversely, video files are .m4a *as far as i know*. Due do this, I don’t think you’ll be able to load that on your iPod, because it’s a video file. However, there are programs out there where you can simply extract the audio. This software is Freeware, so you won’t have to pay for it. In order to extract the file, simply locate the file in your hard drive (you can right click on the file in iTunes, then click *show in windows explorer* and it’ll show you where the file is. Then, open the program I linked earlier and it will allow you to make a .mp3 file of the video (without the video, of course) which will play on your iPod.
I hope this will answer your question. In short, video files will not play on iPods that do not support it, but programs like the one above are a quick fix for that problem.
