Band Photos Of Disturbed
Dead & Euronymous from Mayhem question?
For anyone who is familar with the band Mayhem, Euronymous took pictures of Dead’s dead body and it made it’s way to being the cover of the live album Dawn Of The Black Hearts, as you can see below:

My question is this: From what I understand, all the other band members were sickened by this and did not approve of this action. So why wouldn’t they stop it from happening or make it so that the record company would not release this album with that cover anymore? You’d think they’d have the power to do that and the record company would respect it’s wishes, based on the circumstances. Also, I find it odd that the record company would even publish this photo for an album cover and that, assuming Dead had any family members at all, wouldn’t protest this either.
they were almost always more about shock value and image than music…i can guarantee a larger label wouldn’t have put up w/ it.
i agree, that’s a serious lack of respect for the family members.
not much different than people idolizing serial killers.
edit: the other band members might have been famous…but they were still poor.
almost impossible to fight it.
