2007 Music Videos Awards
How do you play torrent files?
I downloaded the MTV VMA’s from Bittorrent. After downloading, I opened it only to find that it contained a lot of other files that you can’t play in Windows Media Player. I looked at its properties, and this is what I found: mtv.video.music.awards.2007.pdtv.xvid-2hd.r00
I don’t even know what that means! There were like 20 others like that. I wanna watch it, but I don’t even know what to do with it! Please help! ASAP!
P.S. My sister downloads from Bittorrent and she successfully plays the movies she downloads. I don’t know what she does to play them, even though we are using the same computer.
P.P.S. Please answer this as clearly as possible so I could follow your instructions ’cause my sis can’t help me because she’s not here.
As im sure you already understand, a torrent file is not a file itself, it is a list of information a computer uses to download peices of a bigger file that you want. Once you download the torrent file, you open it in ‘Bittorrent’ (Or a similer program) and it will peice together the file for you.
So basicly, if your having trouble viewing files downloaded from a torrent, next time when you find a torrent on the internet, check the torrent file list. This will be a list of files that the torrent downloads for you. If your looking for a single movie file, try not to download torrents that has loads of small files, you want to find a torrent that has just one .avi or .mov file (or any extension that runs in a media program you have)
